Stephanie and Ryan :: Engaged!

Weddings, love stories, and beautiful details. I’m smitten with it all. But aside from the wedding and plans and main event details, I think there is something extra magical about the engagement session… the closeness, the laughter, the freedom – no timelines, no expectations, no rules. Nowhere to be, and no one else to see. Just each other, enjoying the moment, celebrating being engaged, and worrying about nothing else in the world.

It’s magic.

Stephanie and Ryan met me up in the hills over Berkeley for their engagement session. The sun was just lowering in the sky, and the tall trees filtered the light just right, providing an open, wild, yet comfortably intimate space. There was no one else in the world that evening, but these two. His sideways smirk, her giddy laughter. His arms wrapped around her waist, her hands resting on his face. The danced in the bed of his truck, twirled through tall grasses, and kissed by the water as the sun made its final descent into night.
