Rio Del Mar :: At Home at the Beach

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to know wonderfully kind people, and their incredible life stories. This sweet family lives in Minnesota, but they have roots here in the Bay Area. In fact, the parents first met while attending Los Gatos High School, moved to Minnesota many years ago, and took the whole family back to California to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Throughout the session, they would tell stories about their earlier life in CA, Rio Del Mar, the beach where we were, and the surrounding areas. Lots of fun little ocean and sea life facts that a fellow Minnesota girl like me didn’t yet know :) We went way over on session time, busy chatting and kicking around in the surf. And then the birds came….!!! It was pretty crazy, and I simply could not leave until the last ray of sunshine set down behind the mountains. I could have settled right in with these guys for the rest of the evening around the bonfire.
