Asher’s First Magazine!

Our little guy just turned two! What better way to celebrate than with his very first magazine appearance? He’s no stranger to fame – you might remember his pictures that were published on Dwell Studio’s blog! But seeing his sweet little face in print just makes this mama crazy proud :)

Asuka Book is an album publisher for professional photographers, and they’ve asked to feature a few of our images in their current and upcoming advertising campaigns. (Such an honor!) Of all the wedding and lifestyle images I sent over, they chose these: a picture of our little cutie pie, a cute detail shot from Allie & Dan’s engagement session, and a picture of US from our new photo booth at Aaron & Sara’s wedding! (Huge shoutout to wedding guest Laura for snapping the pic of us!) Such a silly pic – something about that photo booth gets everyone acting all crazy! :D

The print ads with Asher are featured in current issues of Shutterbug Magazine and Digital Photo Pro . The ad with Allie & Dan and Jamie & me is in PDN’s Pix Magazine. Check ‘em out!

Scarlett :: Newborn

Meet Miss Scarlett, photographed at just 7 days old. And Miss Penny, just a baby herself at 9 months! Penny’s not quite sure what to think of this new little bundle of sweetness that her parents are fawning over, but she’s pretty sure she loves her too. She was also certain that I wasn’t about to photograph her little “sister” without a few of herself in there too ;)

Congratulations Sarah and Bryan!! Sweet Scarlett is absolutely wonderful. Enjoy these sweet little moments of new parenthood. You are going to be such an amazing family! Best wishes to you!!

The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner & Organizer

This is so exciting! I love seeing our couples’ weddings and sessions getting featured in online blogs and printed wedding magazines. I don’t always post those here, but I almost always do on facebook, and I have a stack of magazines in the studio that we’ve been published in. This, however, is a little different. Even bigger (to me) than a daily wedding inspiration blog or monthly or seasonal magazine publication: this is the first time we’ve had our work published in a book! I couldn’t wait to get to Barnes & Noble to pick up my copy of The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner and Organizer. Inside, you’ll see images from Lauren & Michael’s wedding, and Janelle & Shaun’s wedding, alongside some of the best wedding photographers in the country. Pretty exciting :) Not to mention, it’s a wonderful planning resource for brides-to-be. Definitely check it out!

I was also happy to see a few other local wedding friends: Stems Event Design, Jen Kroll, Harrison Studio, In Any Event by Jodi Bos, Designs by Robyn Love, and Modern Day Floral were also featured! Go Grand Rapids! Michigan knows how to do weddings ;)
