It was a perfect day! Clear blue skies, warm sun, a sweet garden ceremony, and a couple so adorably in love you almost can’t believe it. Cristyn and Carson said their I do’s on May 27th at The Danada House just outside Chicago, surrounded by the love and support of their families and friends. We looked forward to their wedding since the day we met. I remember Cristyn bouncing into our studio with an ear-to-ear smile, and leaving with a huge bear hug. She has a warmth that radiates from her, and an infallible optimism that you can’t help but catch. She sees beauty and good in the world, and brings out the best in those around her. It’s no wonder Carson is head over heels for her. These two have real, true love. We wish them an eternity of happiness together!
Back to their wedding day – it really was picture perfect! From the details to the ceremony to the reception, from the bride’s first look with her dad, and a “no look first look” with the bride and groom alone. Their pastel color palette was fresh and fun for a spring wedding. Cristyn and her mom worked hard ahead of time on the details, invitations, programs, and decorations. They poured a ton of heart into the day, and it really showed. Every little thing fell perfectly into place, and everyone present was relaxed, joyful, and enjoyed the celebration. We started with the girls upstairs, who we could hear chatting and laughing from the front door when we arrived…
I absolutely LOVE the bridesmaids in these neutral putty-colored chiffon dresses. They mixed up their looks with different strands of pearls and silvery and nude heels.
Meanwhile, at the guys’ camp…
One of our favorite new traditions – not quite a First Look, but not quite hiding from each other either… we hereby dub this the “No Look First Look” :) It gives the couple the chance to hold hands and say a few things to each other to calm the jitters, but without actually seeing each other. So sweet!
A groom choking back the tears as he sees his bride for the first time, walking down the aisle…
Corsages for the moms and grandmas were attached to pearl bracelets to keep.
Three generations, wedding rings ~
