Gretchen and Kurt… ahh, where do I begin? You might remember their engagement session post, where I talked about their love for music, and their love for each other. They carried this theme through to their wedding, sending out really cool invitations with a concert ticket vibe. They had lots of fun details in peacock blue and green, with a rockstar feel. A mosaic of place cards that made up a photograph of a guitar. An actual guitar that guests signed. And I’m guessing Kurt’s favorite… a very beautiful new guitar and engraved pick as a bride-to-groom gift… addressed to “Kurt… my rockstar”.
Although the theme was music, the overall feel was love, hope, togetherness. You might also remember that just a few months ago, Kurt was in a very serious accident. With the help of lots of prayers and faith, Kurt has made an amazing recovery. It has made them stronger as a couple, and as people. It has brought their families closer, and made their love deeper. They already had that something… but now you can feel it radiating from them, and from those close to them. It’s true love, faith, gratitude. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Kurt took Gretchen’s hand out on the dance floor. It felt like a long-awaited finale, where the crowd chants one more song… one more song… ::sigh:: Here’s to many, many dances!!
One of my favorite First Look moments… this is why they are so magical!
