Jenny + Rich {married!}

Jenny and Rich came all the way from sunny California for their March 27th wedding. They had guests from all around the world, including Michigan, California, and even the Netherlands. Jenny’s a Michigan girl; she met Rich at his bike shop in San Diego. They are such great people – easy going, honest, true, and totally in love. Their families are just as wonderful, and their wedding was filled with laughter, tears, and love. I felt so fortunate to be part of their day, and to capture those moments for them to remember forever.

We started with a romantic session at the lake, just the two of them…

They were so cute, couldn’t stop smiling and laughing :)
We had the bridal party (all siblings & spouses!) join us for some fun portraits. It wasn’t very warm out… okay, it was pretty cold… but they were awesome about it! I was so in love with the girls dresses – the color, fabric, cut, fit, everything. They looked gorgeous!
It took a few tries to get these guys looking so badass… they couldn’t stop laughing!
We headed over to the church for formals, then they got to relax a bit before the ceremony. I just loved their details – the guest book was a cute scrapbook full of pictures of the couple, decked out in their wedding colors.
I’m in love with Jenny’s ring – it’s blue!!
Jenny’s dad walked her down the aisle, and also performed the ceremony. It was one of the most beautiful sermons I’ve heard – it was all about love, and how we’re meant to be with our one intended partner, how our lives are not complete until we find each other. I have to admit, I got teary eyed. It was beautiful hearing it come from the bride’s father, and knowing that she’d traveled across the country, not expecting that chance meeting with her one true love.

After the ceremony, we snuck away for a few more bride & groom shots around the church and at the B.O.B, where they held their reception.
Jenny… the girl is totally gorgeous, has incredible eyes, and looks a-maz-ing on camera. I love her simple, classic style with just a touch of vintage glam. She inspired me to be even more creative with my shots, and she rocked every single one!
What’d I tell ya? Meow, girl!
The reception was perfect – the B.O.B always looks amazing and has incredible service. I loved all of their personal touches, including beautiful yellow flowers, heartfelt speeches, photo slideshows, and vegan cupcakes baked by a family friend.
They danced to Jack Johnson under soft spotlights…
…and then were serenaded by Jenny’s family! It was awesome! :)
Jenny and Rich, thank you again for having me. You had a beautiful wedding! I hope you had a great time on your honeymoon and are settling back into happily married life in California. Hey, if you get a minute, send some of that sunshine our way ;)

Wishing you many, many years of happiness and love   :)k
